Firkin Friday and Highwater in San Francisco
After a wild weekend last week, some may be wondering what to do with their weekend as Friday kicks off. Thankfully, Friday promises to keep all of us busy with two special beer events. Whether you’re in Santa Rosa or down in San Francisco, you should have a nice beer in your hand this evening.
Kick things off early in Santa Rosa with Firkin Friday at Whole Foods Coddingtown. Tyler and the gang at whole Foods will be tapping the first firkin to ever be served at the Tap Room at 2pm. The firkin will be filled with Stout from Sierra Nevada. Additionally, look for three of the recent Sierra Nevada Beer Camp beers to go on tap as well as a keg of Bigfoot Barleywine and Moonlight Brewing’s Legal Tender. Beerocrats and AHA Members will receive $1 off beers.
If you find yourself further south, be sure to visit City Beer for the release of Highwater Brewing’s Hop Riot IPA and Retribution Double IPA bottles. Highwater Brewing is the latest venture for head brewer Steve Altimari, previously famous for his hoppy and sour offerings at Valley Brewing of Stockton. The event starts at 4pm and goes on until 10 with Altimari and his staff on hand to answer questions and pour beer.
If San Francisco is too far away, Altimari and Highwater will be on hand for Toad in the Hole’s Real Ale Night on Tuesday. Both Hop Riot and Retribution will be on draft.
Hopefully these events will kick off a wonderful weekend.
